Wanda Petronski speaks strangely, has a funny last name, and lives in the wrong part of town. Who would believe she has a closet full of one hundred beautiful dresses? The kids at Franklin Elementary School sure don’t. In The Hundred Dresses, Maddie Martin and Peggy Hawthorne learn first-hand the danger of stereotypes and harsh words. This World Premiere musical by G. Riley Mills and Disney recording artist Ralph Covert (Ralph’s World) was adapted from the classic book by Eleanor Estes. The Hundred Dresses is a poetic tale about the power of words and finding the courage to stand up for others, even if you are standing alone. Continue reading »
