Party Card Games, Twisted

You know that favorite adult party card game? That politically incorrect apples-to-mad-libs-against-humanity game you love so much? Well, we love it too! Come join our interactive improv show based on this party favorite. Here's how it works:

Upon arrival, everyone gets three fill-in-the-blank cards. Then, during the show, if one of your cards matches the main card pulled by our judge, raise your hand and come up on stage! The cast will then improvise based on the cards provided by the audience.

Beware, this show is dirty, ridiculous, offensive, and horrible. Are you ready to be horrible with us?

You can learn more about the youth version of this game, Apples to Improv, here.

Macbeth

Macbeth

Magic. Mystery. Murder. MACBETH.

Teller (of Penn & Teller) and Aaron Posner, the famed creators behind 2015’s The Tempest, reunite for Shakespeare’s psychological thriller in the theatrical event of the spring.

Magic, witches, dark moors, and stunning sights will delight and deceive in an electrifying tale of ambition and madness. Dark deeds are afoot in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, as Macbeth and his Lady risk all for the ultimate prize. But once they have it, how long can they hold on to the throne? Shakespeare’s haunting drama of political intrigue and personal frailty is brought to light in an immersive visual world where “nothing is but what is not.”

Chicago’s newest performance space, The Yard, called “the greatest new theater in the world” by Chicago Tribune, is home to this supernatural tale, starring Helen Hayes award-winner Ian Merrill Peakes and Chicago leading lady Chaon Cross as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
